Workshop Format:

• Introduction by meeting member Joe Marchese to Quaker Clearness committees and their process. The workshop will place emphasis on forming and asking open, honest questions that are central to the clearness process

• We will divide into small groups of 4-5 each for practice exercise
• One Worship & Ministry committee member in each group will be the focus person who shares an issue/concern/dilemma on their minds for feedback through use of clearness quality questions
• Group members practice writing down several open, honest questions to ask the focus person
• These clearness questions then will be shared in the small group
• Discuss how they meet or don’t meet the criteria for clearness quality questions
• Then decide: if you had to pick one question that you especially like and wanted to ask the focus person, which one would it be?
• Get reaction of the focus person to the questions
• If there is any leftover time have a debrief of the experience

• Return to large group and share breakout groups' reactions (SLSD—Surprises, Learnings, Satisfactions, Dissatisfactions). OK to just and ask for reactions and learnings.
