Together we nurture the spiritual vitality of Friends

Financial Aid

Gathering costs are Pay as Led. No scholarships needed this year.

The 2020 Virtual Gathering is experimenting with participants paying as they are led therefore there are no scholarships.

Since we’re not having an in-person Gathering this year, the Virtual Gathering seems like a unique opportunity to experiment with pay as led.  Our hope is that it will remove cost as a barrier to attendance while strengthening the community.  It will also give FGC much needed information to discern if pay as led might be a viable option for future Gatherings.

Pay as Led: We ask that you prayerfully consider your financial resources and the value you believe the Gathering brings to your life and to Friends. Based on this personal reflection, we invite you to pay as led and to make any donation that feels appropriate to you.

There will be three sample amounts in the categories below to provide background  information for your discernment and an option to choose the amount you will pay and a donation line:

1) Abundant Sharing: This amount will cover the cost of your attendance plus an extra amount from you that helps others Friends attend (helping equalize the cost for everyone).

2) Traditional Cost: The second amount is focused on covering your basic cost for attending the Virtual Gathering.

3) Limited Resources: The third amount is the suggested if your resources are limited.

Workgrants

Workgrant Positions

The Virtual Gathering is using a pay as led model this year. If you are volunteering in a capacity that would usually be a workgrant position we ask that you prayerfully consider the value of your contributions to the Gathering, the value you believe the Gathering brings to your life and to Friends, and the fee schedules we have provided. Based on this personal reflection, we invite you to determine the value of your workgrant and your payment for participating in the Gathering.
