7:00 pm Alternative activity option: Taize Service at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church Taize is a form of worship that started in France and consists of chanting, silent meditation, and readings from the Bible. Mary Amendola, who sometimes worships with us, leads the music for this service.

9:00 am Every Murder is Real Whose murder “matters?” Victoria Greene’s son, Emir, was killed in 1997, one of countless victims society ignores. Now her ministry is to support families of murder victims and bring attention to the fact that every murder is real. Quakers and Migrant Justice QuakerSpeak explores Friends’ perspectives on immigration, reframing the common notion that “we have an immigration problem.” Two short Quakerspeak videos about nonviolent direct action and current events. Queries and discussion about Wyoming Friends’ response to the videos, how they speak to our personal experience with nonviolent direct action and how to leverage that experience in our daily lives and spiritual path.

12:30 pm Lunch …followed by free time, nap time and time for Committee meetings

3:15 pm Afternoon discussion Be ready to describe your own experience with direct action, how it may or may not have been a path to a closer relationship with the divine, and how you discern when and how to engage in justice and peace work.

5:00 pm Break for dinner prep

5:30 pm Dinner Open forum: Music, games, reading, conversation, etc.

10:00 am Meeting for Worship Primrose Retirement Living Chapel 1530 Dorothy Lane Cheyenne, WY 82001 Chapel is on the 2nd floor. Enter through the main entrance; elevators are ahead of you and to the left. Chapel is immediately in front of you as you step off the elevator.
