Whether you think it's fun to hang out and fix a few things, talk with like-minded Friends, or pure drudgery, YOU ARE WANTED this Saturday from 9 - noon at Live Oak Friends Meeting for a little Quaker Property Workday.

See the attached list of maintenance and upkeep items.

A little trivia: The Little House door is finicky now to set back to lock.  It will fail if you turn the inside nob and turn the outside handle downward.  It will succeed at locking if you turn the inside nob to lock and turn the outside handle upward.  - It's on the list to replace... someday.

A new, ten-week series of Quaker Queries will be offered on Monday nights, 7 - 9 pm, starting September 24 and continuing through November 26.  These sessions will follow the format originally developed by Friends in the Claremont, California Meeting. Those who have participated in previous series have reported that the experience was deeply enriching.  During the series, we respond to questions specifically designed to increase self-awareness and build community.

It is time again for Friendly 8's, a group of about 8 people who come together about once a month for food and fellowship.  That may be in each other's homes, at a restaurant or coffee shop.  Communication and Outreach Committee sets up the groups based on location, then each group organizes itself around a schedule and interests that work for them.  Some groups watch movies and discuss them, others  enjoy coffee and conversation, others make the rounds of each other's homes for dinner, or always gather at one member's home.
