At its Meeting for Business on September 17, 2017 New Haven Friends approved a "minute"/commitment on working for immigration rights.  The full text in the attached PDF.

New Haven Friends Meeting expresses its strong support for both refugees and undocumented immigrants in our community.  As Quakers, “we believe that every person is loved and can be guided by God.  Broadly speaking, we affirm that ‘there is that of God in everyone’." This is true whether or not they are carrying legal papers.  


The Quaker United Nations Office (QUNO) released a new briefing paper to help Friends better understand migrant and refugee issues. The paper is titled ‘Protecting refugees and migrants under the New York Declaration: challenges and opportunities at the UN level,’ and you can download it as a PDF below.


How are Friends within New England Yearly Meeting being led to address climate change?  You are invited to a day-long consultation on Saturday April 22, 2017, at Friends Meeting at Cambridge (MA) to share what has risen during this year and to discern together where the Yearly Meeting is being led.

The attached document includes the program's timeline and how to arrange for a place to stay overnight or childcare.

Our Friends Meeting in New Haven approved a motion to support in spirit members of our Meeting community who participatied in the Women's March on January 21, either in Hartford or in Washington DC. Photos from events are posted here and on Facebook.
