The World We Seek - What can the Chestnut Hill Friends Meeting do for Environmental Stewardship?"
Presenters: Bill McCall, CHFM, and Ruth Darlington and Pat Finley, PYM Eco-Justice Collaborative

TOPIC:   How might we as a Meeting or as individuals participate in environmental stewardship, as called for by our Testimonies of Peace, Integrity, Community, Equality and Stewardship?  Bill McCall will discuss the effectiveness of CHFM's solar panels in helping the environment and combating climate change. His talk will be followed by Ruth Darlington and Pat Finley of the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting Eco-Justice Working Group, who will tell us of the minute on climate change and how we can support them in their work.

The Eco-Justice Collaborative is a corporate ministry of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting (PYM). It is engaged in projects to support Friends acting on their leadings in the intersection of racial, economic and climate justice.  "How we treat the earth and all its creatures is basic to our relationship with God, and of fundamental religious concern to the Religious Society of Friends."  We will discuss how to implement the Eco-Justice Collaborative's Climate Change Report, which was approved by PYM last summer.
