Based on a true story, MAUDIE is an unlikely romance in which the orphaned and reclusive Everett, hires a fragile yet determined woman named Maudie to be his housekeeper. Bright-eyed but crippled by arthritis, Maudie yearns to live away from her abusive aunt and be independent. She also yearns, passionately, to create art. Unexpectedly, Everett finds himself falling in love.
