Once a month on first Sundays, at the rise of Meeting for Worship, members and attenders use time during the coffee hour to write letters to our governmental representatives.  Depending on the subject, the President; the Congress; the U.N.; local leaders; et al. are addressed.  Up-to-date information received from Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL) frequently guides our messages.  About 10-12 letters are generated each month.  More often than not, responses to this correspondence are received.

Some Gunpowder writers prefer to use e-mail, with similar results.
