PFF 2015 Fall Retreat
• Theme; "IMMIGRATION and QUAKERS"
Lori Fernarld Khamala will moderate a panel of immigrants as they share their experiences in an interactive program with Friends discussing current issues impacting immigrants and possible Quaker roles in seeking justice for our newest neighbors. Discussion Focus: tuition equality for undocumented students, driving privileges for undocumented residents, the campaign for humane immigration reform, and the Detention Bed Mandate.
Lori Fernald Khamala grew up in the Charlotte Meeting, attended Guilford College, and has been active in the Durham and Friendship Meetings. For the past decade she has worked with immigrant issues and is currently Director of the American Friends Service Committee's North Carolina Immigrant Rights Program based in Greensboro.
• Special Program for 3rd thru 6 graders
A children's program will be available for children grades 3 through 6. Older youth are invited to participate in the adult program. Friends can plan on leaving after lunch or staying for about an hour of additional discussion if desired.

Registration will start at 9:00 at the Winston-Salem Meeting along with light refreshments. The program begins at 9:20. Lunch will be provided with time to get to know Friends from across the Piedmont. A $10 donation is asked for program expense and lunch.
