HEALING THE HEART OF DEMOCRACY - A Quaker Study and Dialogue

HEALING THE HEART OF DEMOCRACY: THE COURAGE TO CREATE A POLITICS OF THE HUMAN SPIRIT (Jossey-Bass, 2011), by Quaker writer Parker Palmer, will be the focus for reflection and dialogue for our next online series of Quaker Conversations.

The 8- to 10-week online series of contemplative study, deep listening and faith sharing was designed by South Bend Friends Anita Morse and Theresa Yuan. Anita and Theresa will be supplementedt with selections from three centuries of Quaker writings.

An overview of this timely new series will be offered on First Day (Sunday), February 14, at 9:00-10:00 a.m. Visitors are invited to sit in and see if they wish to participate further on a regular weekly basis.

Actual study and reflection on the text will begin February 21. Weekly commitment and book purchase are encouraged to nurture fellowship and faith sharing.

Quaker Conversations is a contemplative dialogue-study group sponsored by South Bend Friends. For more information, questions, or the Zoom link, contact South Bend Friends, (574) 232-8258; southbendfriends@gmail.com
