To Parents and First Day School Children,
Mark your calendars for the Pancake Breakfast on September 10, beginning at 9:45.
This is the traditional start to the FDS year, so we hope everyone can make it and enjoy
the breakfast prepared by Bob Newbery and his young helpers. If your child would like
to be involved with cooking or serving, let me or Bob know in the next few weeks.
Watch announcements for more details about this syrupy celebration!
Contributions to the Madison Friends Meeting - whether designated for a particular purpose, given as a one-time gift or part of sustained giving are appreciated and treated confidentially. To contribute electronically, please contact Linda Merrill/MMM Finance Committee. Make checks out to Madison Monthly Meeting and place in the donation box next to the guest book in the Meetinghouse library or send to Friends House, c/o Treasurer, 1704 Roberts Ct, Madison, WI 53711-2029. Thank you!

Many ways to contribute:
There is an ongoing need for Woodbrooke Day presenters to prepare a lesson for the third First Day of the month, when the regular FDS schedule is suspended. Presenters may explore Quaker history or concerns, teach a skill, bake cookies, or share a personal interest. Children learn something new and our community is strengthened by nurturing connections between children and adults. Time commitment is typically for one lesson a year. You can also volunteer to assist a Woodbrooke presenter by contacting the Program Coordinator.
***REMINDER: Feb 12 - NEW First Day School schedule begins:
On 2/12 we'll be switching to an 11:15 start time for classes with children joining adults in worship at 12:00.
This is a change from past practice where children began upstairs.
- Please bring children to classes at 11:15.
- First Day School teachers will be incorporating activities to support children in the transition to worship.
