First Day School at Easton Meeting

On every Sunday at our 11:00 a.m. worship, one or two of our members are prepared to offer a first-day school session to school-age children who may come with parents or other adults.  Our goal in first-day school is to help children understand and live the Quaker values of simplicity, peace, integrity, equality, community and service.  We use stories, art projects, nature walks (weather permitting) and dialogue with the children.  Children start out in silent worship with the adults.  They then go to the first-day school room for their activities.  At the end, they return to the worship room, with an opportunity for them to tell and show the adults what they have done.
