Friday Night newsletter alt for Quakershaker - November 18, 2022
Message from the Clerk
Greetings,
This Sunday, we have an important event after rise of meeting, Judith Skillings, 60-90 minute Values Clarification Workshop.
Judith Skillings, Psy.D., will offer a 90 minute presentation regarding how white privilege resides in us as individuals. She will also present a values clarification exercise for people who attend the presentation to spend some time identifying what some of their personal key values are, how they express those values in the world, and what it would look like for them to express those values in terms of the Reparations Project that the Meeting has embraced.
There are a number of workshops and meetings related to Ohio Valley Yearly Meeting and Miami Valley Quarterly Meeting, which we belong to. We encourage members and attenders to consider attending as many as they can. The clerking workshops are a benefit for those learning about Quakerism, those interested in strengthening our own Monthly Meeting, as well as those who are or will be clerking or part of a committee. You don't have to be a clerk to learn from them!
