Nurturing faith and Quaker practice
Unprogrammed Quakers in Wichita, Kansas

Heartland Friends Meeting

We believe:

  • All people have access to “that of God” within them;
  • Although our roots are in Christianity, truth can be found in other sources.

We practice the Quaker testimonies:

  • Truth, meaning integrity of word and deed and the seeking of Truth;
  • Simplicity, meaning keeping our attention on what is important to us and minimizing distractions;
  • Equality of all people before God;
  • Peace. We seek to live in a spirit of peace and work to remove the causes of war.

We worship by listening for the Spirit.

Query of the Month
  1. We do not own the world, and its riches are not ours to dispose of at will. Show a loving consideration for all creatures, and seek to maintain the beauty and variety of the world. Work to ensure that our increasing power over nature is used responsibly, with reverence for life. Rejoice in the splendour of God’s continuing creation.
